Many police officers across the country have a message for President Barack Obama Get all the facts before criticizing one of our own.

via ‘Disgraceful’: Cops Angry After Obama Slams Arrest of Black Scholar

How long did it take our president to speak out about the corrupt elections in Iran? How long did it take him to speak out about the senseless killings in that country? It was weeks. How long did it take him to respond to the arrest of Henry Louis Gates Jr. in Cambridge, MA? Seconds. After stating that Gates was a friend and that he (Obama) didn’t have all of the facts, he said,

“But I think it’s fair to say, No. 1, any of us would be pretty angry,” Obama said. “No. 2, that the Cambridge police acted stupidly in arresting somebody when there was already proof that they were in their own home. And No. 3 — what I think we know separate and apart from this incident — is that there is a long history in this country of African-Americans and Latinos being stopped by law enforcement disproportionately, and that’s just a fact.”

So once again, we have a key leader in our country making decisions without all of the information. So what’s the big deal? Obama is the head police chief in our country by election. Just like he is the commander in chief of our troops. Imagine your boss calling your informed decision “acting stupidly” without him/her even hearing the whole story. I am not saying that the police officer was right or wrong. I was not there, and unlike our government, I will not make uninformed decisions. I like to get the necessary information, especially if I will am going to call somebody’s actions “stupid”.

You don’t throw people under the bus. You especially don’t throw people under the bus when they are your employees. You definitely do not throw people under the bus when they are your employees and you don’t have all of the facts. We don’t need to have a quick answer from the president about issues like this. It’s ok to say he is withholding comment until he learns more about what happened. That is what the media was expecting him to say. They are an Obama friendly media and they would have been in awe of his wisdom when saying that. Instead, his emotions kicked in and he made a hastey, uninformed decision and it is revealing more about who he is.

Reality Check: You want your key officials making informed decisions. You want them to get the facts before speaking. You also want them to not throw people under the bus, especially when people think they are not as supportive as they could be about the very country they are leading. I wish in the Iran situation he would have spoken up sooner about freedom and accurate elections and against senseless killings. I wish he would have taken the time to learn more about this situation before commenting and stirring up the race issue when he was supposed to be the one to transcend racial lines and bring us all closer together.

Morning Bell: Obama Admits He’s “Not Familiar” With House Bill » The Foundry.

The house and senate do not read bills before they vote on them and pass them. Already wrote about that. Why? The President doesn’t either. Obama is beating down the door for this health care bill to pass by August yet in a recent call with bloggers, Obama admits that he is not familiar with the part of the bill that people have a huge problem with.

There have been many rumors from people who have seen the bill that say there is a possibility that private insurance would be outlawed. We already wrote about that too. When a blogger asked Obama about this he said, “You know, I have to say that I am not familiar with the provision you are talking about.” You can listen to the interview here to see for yourself. By the way, that link is to the huffington post who loves Obama. So you can see that I am not documenting anti-Obama sites.

Reality Check: This is scarier than you think. People are jamming things through congress right now and the left hand does not know what the right hand is doing. The left hand being Obama and the right hand being his democratic house and senate. Wake up!! When do you engage? They are passing laws that are attacking your freedoms and according to the congress and President, they are not even “familiar” with the details.

Guess what?! Somebody has filed another ethics complaint against Sarah Palin. I bet you are not shocked. I also would bet you could guess who? The same woman who files most of these complaints at no expense to her. Read the following which is part of an article linked below:

Most of the complaints, including a case filed by the governor herself, were filed after Palin was named the GOP vice presidential candidate last year. Most have been dismissed.

The latest is the sixth filed by fellow Republican Andree McLeod, an outspoken critic of the governor.

via The Associated Press: Critic files another Palin ethic complaint.

I think that they should change the law just in Alaska that says if you file a complaint, it will cost you $1000.00. If you win, then you get your money back. There should be a cost to somebody who is clearly abusing our systems.

Reality Check: This may not seem like a big deal to you. This may seem rather mild. But as I said before, if this is how we treat good people trying to help, then we will no longer have good people serving. And when there is a vacuum of good people serving, then we are stuck with anybody who will serve.

A series of bailouts, bank rescues and other economic lifelines could end up costing the federal government as much as $23 trillion, the U.S. government’s watchdog over the effort says – a staggering amount that is nearly double the nation’s entire economic output for a year.

via Bailouts could cost U.S. $23 trillion – Eamon Javers – POLITICO.com.

We all almost lost it when it was close to 1 trillion dollars. Now, when it is all said and done, it could cost around 23 trillion? The same article states:

“The potential financial commitment the American taxpayers could be responsible for is of a size and scope that isn’t even imaginable,” said Rep. Darrell Issa (R-Calif.), the ranking member of the House Oversight Committee. “If you spent a million dollars a day going back to the birth of Christ, that wouldn’t even come close to just one trillion dollars – $23.7 trillion is a staggering figure.”

This is our money they are spending like this. Taxes are paid to provide protection and other provisions to this country, but to recklessly go and spend money like this is absurd. No individual citizen can do this, but our government can? We all are outraged over what Madoff did, but isn’t our government doing the same thing?

They are making all of these promises they can’t back up and spending way more than they actually have and they are doing it on our dime. And we have not even gotten to the healthcare “reform” he thinks we need.

Reality Check: Tax money is your money. It is meant to support the country in specific areas and you already pay enough. How much more of your income will the government take to only come back and say they need more before you stand up for yourself. As a nation, we are about to be in the same scenario as California and the government will be writing IOUs.

Wow, I thought we would have the freedom to choose. I thought we would be able to stick to the medical care we have, and that I would always get that option. Just to let you know, one congressman stood up and said if you all think this is so great, then if this bill passes, we all get rid of our coverage and sign up for this new coverage we are forcing on the American People. I think only 2 of them agreed and one of them was Ted Kennedy. Enough said.

Reality Check: Start paying attention to what is going on in Congress and get a hold of your representative because your country is being run by people who are dictating the course of your money and you are asleep in the back of the bus. When you wake up you are going to be many dollars poorer and far less capable of getting quality health care.

Have you heard of the latest hate crimes bill that passed in congress recently? It added gender, sexual orientation, gender identity, or disability in addition to race, color, religion and national origin that was already covered by the previous hate crimes bill. So now, crimes against all of these groups are considered hate crimes and that has caused some concerns for some people.

I don’t want to go there today. Today I just want to deal with the race portion of the hate crime bill. According to the bill, any person who “willfully causes bodily injury to any person or, through the use of fire, a firearm, or an explosive or incendiary device, attempts to cause bodily injury to any person” may be fined and put in jail for up to 10 years if he/she acts in connection to one of the protected groups.

We all agree that one of the necessary categories is race. Race is still an issue in our country and that goes multiple ways, not just white against black. So then read the following story and tell me why this would not be categorized as a hate crime?

Is there a double standard when it comes to hate crimes?.

”This is our world” and ”This is a black world.” Change the races around, and the comment around, is this a hate crime then? Absolutely. You would have Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson there immediately crying injustice. This is another clear instance of where you can say and do what ever you want to one race, and it is a racial thing all the way, but if the roles are reversed, then this is just another unfortunate crime. That inconsistency is wrong and people should be screaming from the rooftops about it.

Reality Check: A hate crime is a hate crime regardless of a specific race. Just because the ones being attacked are white, does not mean that they cannot have a hate crime committed against them. My family alone has almost every race in it. My dad is white and my mom is Mexican. My brother in law is black and one of my best friends is Asian. To me, race is not an issue, but a crime is a crime and in this particular instance, it sure looks like a hate crime. Let’s call it like it is and stop the inconsistency. If we would learn to do what is right because it is the right thing to do, then the country would be a better place.

A very liberal blog criticized Newt Gingrich because he misspelled a few words on his tweets. MSNBC’s Contessa Brewer thought it was a big enough deal to report it on national television. I think it is ridiculous that we are making news out of spell checking somebody’s tweet on Twitter, but hey, if you are MSNBC, then any anti-conservative news is good news.

The hypocrisy is that I have yet to see this liberal blog make any comments about the fact that Obama’s own administration misspelled his name on an “official document”. You would think that if there was one name the administration could spell, it would be the name of their boss and President!? But, misspelling our leaders name on an official document is not all that newsworthy, but if you misspell a tweet, watch out because liberals and their news stations are all over it.

Check out the article below:

The Hill’s Blog Briefing Room » More spelling errors plague Obama releases.

Reality Check: The media is so in love with Obama and his administration that we are not getting a fair representation of the news. For misspellings, who cares, but what else are they holding back on to make this administration look better than they really are.

In some not so surprising news, it turns out that our elected officials do not read the very bills that they vote on. They have other people read them and tell them about it. Wow, how interesting is that. Read this article below:

CNSNews.com – Democratic Leader Laughs at Idea That House Members Would Actually Read Health-Care Bill Before Voting On It.

Now, I wanted you to go and read it so that you can get the idea for yourself rather than having me read it and tell you about it like our congressmen do . Sounds like we should actually be voting for the guys and girls who actually read the bills rather than the ones that hire them to read the bills. Would this work in any other industry? Hoyer actually said, “If every member pledged to not vote for it if they hadn’t read it in its entirety, I think we would have very few votes,”,

Given the fact that the whole nation is at your disposal, I would think that you might want to actually read the bill you are voting on. If there is not enough time, then slow down, hold off voting and MAKE TIME!! My tax dollars depend on it. I think Americans need to start another petition that says we will not vote for people who do not read bills before they vote for bills.

Reality Check: Don’t sign off on anything you have not read for yourself. If I come to you and say sign this, and you think it is too long to read before you sign it, and just sign it, then you should reap the consequences of ignorance. None of us handle our finances this way and I do not want my elected officials handling my finances this way either. America, seriously!! Stop allowing people to make decisions for you and just assume it will all be ok. It will not be ok if we do not hold these people responsible to DO THEIR JOB!!!

We kill Sarah Palin for stepping down because of the constant attacks on her and her family costing millions of dollars, but we allow elected officials to cost us millions of dollars because they did not have the time to read a long bill before they voted on it?! Do you see how stupid that sounds.

US Citizen: Read the Bill.

Congressman: I can’t. It’s too long.

US Citizen: Ok, vote on it anyway. Who cares.

Congressman (quietly says to himself): You should, your taxes just went up because of it.

Come on America, we are better than this.

Try something real quick. Google “ethics complaint filed against barack obama”. See how many returns you get? That’s right, none. As a matter of fact, this is one of the times Google asks you to search for “Results for ethics complaint filed against barack obama (without quotes)”, because that exact text does not match any results. Meaning nobody (bloggers, news websites, hacks) has typed those words on the web. Now, try one more thing. Google “ethics complaint filed against sarah palin”. How many? About 1,120 according to Google. Seriously? Sarah Palin, the governor of Alaska, what some call one of the most insignificant states in the US, has 1,120 posting about her ethics complaints? Then, Barack Obama, our current president has 0 returns on Google? I am not saying he doesn’t have any filed against him, but nobody is talking about it.

So what could these ethics complaints be? Let’s look at some that I found here: http://tinyurl.com/l9kk9f. The first one is a legitimate complaint. It was not illegal, but it did seem a little odd that the guy divorcing her family member all of a sudden is fired. As for the others: 9 dismissed, 1 Rejected, and 3 rulings in her favor. And, No. 8, “Oct. 24, 2008: Complaint contended Palin abused her power by charging the state when her children traveled with her. The personnel board found no wrongdoing…”. Now, she did agree to pay money back because she felt like it was the right thing to do, but I wonder how many other politicians “violate” this “ethical standard” and nobody says a thing.

My point on all of this is that what is being done to Sarah Palin is wrong. Whether you agree with her politics or not, she is being mistreated. If she was a minority, people would be crying racism. If she was female, people would be crying foul. Oh wait she is female. Let me rephrase it then. If she was a liberal female, liberal women would be crying foul. But, the problem is that she is a conservative female who opposes abortion so liberal women have a hard time running to support her when in one hand it would be a righteous cause for women, but on the other hand they would be helping a conservative woman who would take away what they feel like is a woman’s right to choose.

I am amazed at what we will allow to happen to somebody because we disagree with their politics. If you support abortion, why does that mean you cannot stand up against these ridiculous ethical claims. If we as Americans do not start standing up for our public representatives, then we will lose our good representatives. We will keep turning comedians into politicians like Al Fraken.

Reality check time. Wrong is wrong and what these people are doing to Sarah Palin is wrong and affecting her ability to get the job done that she was elected to do. You might say, “Tough, that is politics.” No it is not. That is the shady side of politics that nobody likes. If she legitimately has made a mistake, then yes, file the complaint. But anybody who sees these “violations” knows that the only reason why this is happening is because she is a conservative woman. She has a huge target on her because people are afraid of her politics, and the fact that a large majority of Americans support her ideals. So the loud few are making a lot of noise over nothing to try to discredit her and we as the large American majority should be shouting even louder to drown them out.

I started this blog to point out specific instances where people have appeared to of lost their mind briefly as they wrote their blog, and rather than their readers researching the hypocrisy just written, they just comment in agreement with the author’s hysterics. This does not appear to be a major problem until it comes time for this country to head in a certain direction and these ridiculous ideas are actually adopted by authority and the masses just follow right along without understanding the consequences.
